Successful dog training begins with an appreciation that your dog is unique, and so are his behaviors. Depending on age, breed, life experience and personality, your dog has very specific training needs. Unwanted behaviors in your dog or puppy can be corrected with professional canine training and behavior modification.
Laura Bourhenne graduated from Moorpark College's Exotic Animal Training Program in 1989 where she trained several species of animals including primates, birds of prey, ponies, rats, miniature potbelly pigs and many others. She is a Professional Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, as well as an associate member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. To maintain her integrity as a dog trainer, Laura has chosen to remain a one-person training operation instead of farming out to subcontractors. This insures an ongoing personal relationship and individual attention to all of her two and four legged clients.
Laura, along with co-host Kim Rinehardt, has a podcast all about dog behavior. It's called Doggie Dish and can be found on iTunes or the Doggie Dish website. She also has a dog training video titled - "Train Your Dog - The Positive Gentle Method"
